Street art on the Upper East Side is a rare sighting. I love this mural by Nick Walker, Penny Farthing Vandal. See it for yourself at 81st and 3rd.
Last weekend we trekked further uptown to Harlem to see Colette Miller’s beautiful Angel Wings mural, part of the Global Angel Wings Project. A reminder to humanity that, in the words of the artist, “we can be the Angels of this world”
If you’re in NYC go see the mural yourself at 111th and Park!
I fell in love with this poetry on the wall in Paris.
This *roughly* translates to:
I will smile
and my smile will sink into your eyes
and god knows what will become
and I think it’s pretty as hell.
Observation: Parisian street art is much more colorful in comparison to NYC street art—there’s a visibly concerted effort to add a pop of color.
Noteworthy: I love the glitter on this last mural, that’s something I’ve never seen before.
